London, Marylebone W1

Posted on

My son moved to London to attend university a few years ago, so I had to find the perfect excuse to come and visit him as often as possible. I had to get an English client, or better a London client. That is how I started to work with M&S, I became a supplier almost overnight.  Since I had to be in London every month, I also became the “roommate.“
We found an apartment in Marylebone, next to Regent's Park, where my son attended school. A cute little 3 storey house, I then realised I was living in one of London greatest neighbourhoods.
Here are my favourites places to go around the neighbourhood:
La Fromagerie
A perfect place for breakfast. Food is served on a long table, surrounded with the seasons….The most amazing cheeses in the cold room / do not miss on weekends (only) a homemade Brie with truffle , it is to to die for !
Providores
A breakfast or lunch option. New Zealand chef. The best coffees , fresh juices ( I cannot drink an orange juice unless it is squeezed in front of me ( the very best is in New York at San Ambroes) and very special breakfast dishes.
Wallace museum
For lunch. Very pretty, skylight, lots of sun coming in, and wonderful food.
Too many options for dinner
Il Baretto, small Italian restaurant, simple beautiful food ( it happens to belong to a friend who also owns Zuma and La Petite Maison )
Everyone is talking about
Fire House on Chiltern....
Regent's Park
Take a walk, visit the Zoo,  make your way to St Johns Wood and feed the ducks !
Daunt Bookstore
Old fashion bookstore, service is amazing, the sales team know their books and books there are!
Sundays
On Sundays in front of Aubaine ( very nice tea house) you have the Farmer's fresh Market
Selfridges 3 minutes away!
On Oxford street, one can find my collection on the 3rd floor. To live just next to a department store that is opened 7/7 and late at night, is dangerous!
Bond street 5 minutes away!
A MUST! La Petite Maison for lunch.  If on the menu you see a Tomato salad, then it will be the tastiest freshest tomato salad you have ever had !
The Wosley the bar David Collins did...
Then walk to Harrods
Back street Walton street. ( small pretty shops ) , keep walking to Draycott Avenue.
November 7th , you will see at no 177 Draycott Avenue
Marie France Van Damme, nested between Joseph and J Crew around the corner from Chanel !
