35 years ago, I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel; I am here today, it is exactly as it was then, as if time stopped here.
I am enjoying the "Joseph Conrad " suite, which is located in the old wing of the hotel, "the historic wing ", looking out on the Chao Phraya River, it must have felt and smelled the same in 1887, having breakfast on the terrace of the suite, the humidity has already taken over, but it is such a romantic scenery, I can close my eyes and go back in time, Crown Prince Nicholas from Russia is walking thru the gardens. I am in Bangkok to shop for a shop!
Do not look any further, my next shop can only be in this iconic hotel...
From Bangkok with love,
MF xxx
PS: I literally bumped into Charles and Diana in the lobby in the 80's !
