Hong Kong Art Basel, one of the world most important art fair for collectors, artists, dealers, curators, critics and art lovers, just took
place in Hong Kong. The city was "buzzing" with people (very famous people !!!) from all over the world....the "apocalyptic weather" did not alter our moods... Perhaps not everyone was thrilled to land in the middle of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in the early morning of the opening day. When the black rain signal was issued, Hong Kong came to a complete stand still.
However the Art fair has been a great success, and our gallerist friends were most excited about all the sales that have taken place during the show.
Here I am with 2 friends, Christophe Van de Weghe and Gordon Veneklasen , 2 top gallerists based in New York, among Basquiat, Picasso, Damien Hearst...
Unfortunately too humid and wet to eat outside, even the fishing boats in front of the house are slowing making their way back to their shelters.
