Addiction is a condition that results when a person ingests a substance or engages in an activity that can be pleasurable but the continued use of which becomes compulsive and interferes with ordinary life responsibilities. I have one girlfriend who is completely 'addicted' to my brand. Yes, one girlfriend. Only one? Well, maybe 2 or 3. I can justify the lack of addicted followers… my brand is only 18 months old. I do not have a store in Hong Kong (yet). Yes, we are now distributed in 26 countries, but my girlfriends live in LA, Montreal, Dallas, and there are no stores in those cities carrying the line. Girlfriends cannot try on at leisure, look at themselves in big mirror of store fitting room... and discover, Wow how they have been transformed in one split second, into these gorgeous chic "beauties". Ok… seriously... when one lady does try on my clothes, perhaps she doesn’t become an addict, but she does become a fan. I have encountered many ladies (young and older) who have said "No.. I’m too fat, it will not look good on me, one needs to be thin..", "No..I’m too short", "No.. I’m too tall", "No I’m too old.. these clothes do not fit my lifestyle….", "Those swimsuits you do, are for skinny girls, don’t you know after 40…", "I'm a young skinny girl, and I don’t like one piece swimsuits." Well, to everyone’s surprise, once convinced to take off their clothes, when they finally get undressed and try on a piece of my collection they are, as I said, 'transformed'! "Ahhh, ohhh I love the fluidity of the fabric! Ahhh, it makes me feel so glamorous! Ohhhh. why did I not try on this caftan before?!" Addiction is a treatable condition...
